I took some words from nokia beta labs.
We are offering members of the Nokia Beta Labs community a  preview of the new Store client.  Please help us in testing it before it is deployed in a software update.
This beta Store client will replace the current Store client on your Symbian^3 or Symbian Anna device, and it supports nearly all of the features as the official Store client (Web Runtime).  The key new features this client brings include:

New Nokia Maps v3.08 With Weather

Nokia Maps v3.08 now with the weather. Here I quote from NokiaBetaLabs:

The latest version of Maps v3.08 is here with a beautiful little weather app to help you plan for the day by the hour or give you a handy five day overview.  Also, to make your commute safer, we’ve added live traffic routing info in the Drive start screen, cleaned up the UX framework and made search results easier to read. And remember that really annoying Drive to contacts crashing bug? Gone.

There’s also a new installation UI that shows you what’s installing in your phone as it happens, instead of one massive file uploading at once. Be warned that you will need an internet connection the entire time of installation and it may take longer than before. Apologies in advance for this! NOKIA Play To for Symbian^3 (update)

A few days ago the application NOKIA Play To be updated, with some changes and improvements which are mainly for Xbox and PS3, for more details, let's read the explanation:



Nokia Play To lets you show photos and videos taken with your mobile to your friends wirelessly on your TV. Or you can listen to your favourite music stored on your mobile with your home audio system. Just launch Play To, select the device and media you want to play. No configuration is needed once WLAN is on and all devices are connected to the same network.



Nokia Play To is meant for playing media stored on mobile i.e. it is not possible to access other DLNA devices with it. We wanted to concentrate on creating a solution for easily enjoying mobile media on a big TV screen or with an audio system. If you are familiar with DLNA technology we are supporting push and server functionalities with our current implementation.



A network with WLAN access is needed as well as a DLNA capable playing device (e.g. TV, A/V amplifier, Blu-ray player or PS3 game console). All devices including mobile must be connected to the same network.

Cnn internasional (beta) now available on NokiaBetaLabs

On 8 July ago, CNN International beta in the update again, version 1.2 beta is now available in NokiaBetaLabs, with some changes in this application, a little explanation below.

• New look & feel for CNN Breaking News dialogue. It would be great if you could install CNN 1.2. before the weekend, as you will be doing manual test push notifications on Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10:00am Pacific time.


• Home screen (alias widget) support. Preferred category can be selected from settings. Default is top stories.


• Added support for S60 5th ed phones. Note: 5800 users must
  have  PR4 (V40.0.005) or later sw version installed. CNN Video-on-demand
   and CNN Live do not yet work in this release on S60 5th ed devices.


• It is now possible to shoot an image/video directly from iReport/submit.


• Based on Qt 4.7, previous version using Qt 4.6


• Many small improvements.

Some time ago Nokia Beta Labs release of new applications based on the experimental. "Nokia Interactive Rich Reading" interactive applications for children, encouraging them to love to learn to talk about books, in the hope that children quickly develop a grammar. interesting application for those of you who have small children who are learning to know something.

In cooperation with Sesame Workshop - the creators of Sesame Street - Nokia Research Center has created a new interactive book experience.  Elmo from Sesame Street is an interactive story time participant listening to the story along with the child. Elmo asks questions relevant to each page to encourage children to talk more about the book.  

Research has shown that the more kids talk about a book during the reading experience, the better their vocabulary development.  We encourage parents to use this application to read more with their children.
